Academic Achievements

Research Projects

Over the past three years, faculty members of the School of Accounting have actively been engaged in teaching and scientific research initiatives. They have undertaken 9 research projects at or above municipal and prefectural levels, over 50 university-level research projects, 13 teaching reform projects at or above municipal and prefectural levels, and 92 university-level quality engineering and teaching reform projects. Two provincial-level teaching achievement awards have been secured.

In terms of faculty development, from 2021 to May 2025, a total of 10 provincial-level and 3 municipal-prefectural-level education and teaching reform projects were approved, alongside one provincial innovative academic team.


Academic Papers

In the last three years, teachers have published more than 200 academic papers in total, including 1 SSCI-indexed paper, 3 papers in Peking University Core Journals and over 10 papers in university journals.


Teaching Achievement Awards

In 2021, the school won the Second Prize of University-level Teaching Achievement Award for the project Comprehensive Reform Research on Financial Management Major led by Professor Wu Liyang.

In 2023, the school claimed the First Prize of University-level Teaching Achievement Award for the project Eight Integrations and Four Combinations Empowered by Digital Technology: Reform and Practice of Digital Financial Talent Training Mode presided over by Professor Tan Hongyi. This achievement was also recognized as an Excellent Case of Education and Teaching Reform by the Guangdong Association of University Teaching Management in the same year.

In 2025, the teaching achievement Value-oriented, Industry-education Integrated and Digitally Empowered: Reform and Practice of Applied Intelligent Financial Talent Training Mode, jointly completed by Professor Tan Hongyi, Kingdee Jinyi Information Technology Service Co., Ltd. and Guangdong Baijie Education Investment Co., Ltd., was awarded the Second Prize of Guangdong Provincial Education and Teaching Achievement Award (Undergraduate Higher Education Category).


Curriculum Construction

The school has developed 3 provincial first-class courses, namely Basic Accounting (provincial ideological and political demonstration course and provincial first-class course) and Excel Finance (provincial offline first-class course). One provincial-level ideological and political demonstration class was accredited for the section Accounting Information Quality Characteristics in General Principles of Chapter One of Basic Accounting.

There are 3 university-level online-offline hybrid first-class undergraduate courses including Internal Auditing, Intermediate Financial Accounting II and Advanced Financial Management, 1 university-level online first-class undergraduate course Application of Python in Financial Management, and 4 university-level first-class undergraduate courses covering Intermediate Financial Accounting, Management Accounting, Auditing and Financial Management.


Textbook Development

The school encourages faculty to compile application-oriented textbooks tailored to talent cultivation demands. Three textbooks have been officially published in the past five years: Comprehensive Simulation Training of Financial Management Based on Excel (2nd Edition) (Tsinghua University Press, 2025), Financial Management (2nd Edition) (Tsinghua University Press, 2022), and Comprehensive Experimental Course of Management Accounting (1st Edition) (Tsinghua University Press, 2024).

From 2022 to 2025, 5 university-level digital textbook projects were approved, covering Application of Excel in Finance, Accounting Information System, Basic Accounting, Financial Management and Intermediate Financial Accounting. Besides, 1 featured textbook project and 2 regular textbook projects were granted approval, namely Comprehensive Simulation Training of Financial Management, Capital Operation of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises and Internal Auditing Laws and Regulations.


Ideological and Political Education in Courses

From 2021 to December 2025, 2 municipal-prefectural-level and over 20 university-level curriculum ideological and political construction projects were approved.

By December 2025, one teacher had won the first prize, two teachers had won the second prize and one teacher had won the third prize in curriculum ideological and political teaching competitions. Two teachers were honored as University-level Distinguished Teachers for Curriculum Ideological and Political Education. Since December 2025, three teaching teams have been rated as outstanding university-level teams for curriculum ideological and political education.
