1. Program Objectives
The program aims to cultivate qualified citizens who are patriotic, loyal to the Party, steadfast in their ideals and convictions, law-abiding, and of good moral character. The program primarily focuses on meeting the needs of the frontline production, management, and service sectors in enterprises and institutions across Guangdong. Students will acquire a foundation in the natural sciences, as well as the fundamental theories, knowledge, skills, and methods of artificial intelligence systems. They will systematically master core AI theories and technologies, including embodied intelligence, large-scale model development, deep learning, natural language processing, and computer vision. Students will develop practical abilities in AI algorithm design, model development, system integration, and application deployment. These students will possess self-learning abilities, an innovative spirit, and an entrepreneurial mindset. They will be well-rounded in moral, intellectual, physical, aesthetic, and labor education, with a strong sense of social and environmental responsibility. Equipped with the ability to analyze and solve practical problems from an AI perspective using scientific methods, they will become high-quality, application-oriented professionals capable of engaging in algorithm R&D, intelligent system design, AI application development, data analysis, and project management in the fields of artificial intelligence and related areas.

Graduates can pursue careers in system development, system design, product management, and project management within the fields of large models and embodied intelligence and related positions.
4. Two Specializations
The Artificial Intelligence major offers two specializations: Large Models and Embodied Intelligence (Note: Students choose their specialization in their sophomore or junior year).
(1)Large Model Specialization
This specialization aims to cultivate applied professionals in large models who master cutting-edge technologies such as large model principles and architecture, development and fine-tuning, and application and deployment; possess specialized skills in large model training and optimization, prompt engineering, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and large model inference acceleration; and demonstrate strong professional ethics and comprehensive competencies.

(2)Embodied Intelligence Specialization
This specialization aims to cultivate applied professionals in embodied intelligence who master the fundamental theories of embodied intelligence, as well as core technologies such as the Robot Operating System (ROS), Simultaneous Localization and Mapping (SLAM), and path planning; possess capabilities in intelligent robot system development, the implementation of perception and control algorithms, and multi-sensor fusion applications; and demonstrate strong professional ethics and comprehensive personal qualities.
