I. Program Overview
The Secretarial Studies program at Guangdong Peizheng College was founded in 2015. It is the first program among peer private higher education institutions in Guangdong Province to establish a dedicated Office Automation Training Laboratory for Secretarial Studies. In 2026, the program took the lead in transforming into a “Digital-Intelligent Secretarial Studies” program, placing it at the forefront of similar programs nationwide. The program adheres to a clear training orientation: it cultivates interdisciplinary compound secretarial talents for the digital intelligence era through the in-depth integration of traditional secretarial competencies and modern digital and intelligent skills.
The following core data fully illustrates the program’s robust educational strength and distinctive competitive advantages:
• National Silver Award at the 2025 China International College Students’ Innovation Competition — Ranked first among the 84 official discipline competitions recognized by the Ministry of Education of China
• Excellent employment performance — The program has achieved an average employment rate of 98% over the past three years, with 74% of graduates engaged in field-related positions and 75% employed in the Pearl River Delta region
• Dual practical training platforms — Equipped with SparkFire Studio and Peizheng Humanities Secretarial Practice Center, the program undertakes authentic corporate projects to realize in-depth industry-education integration through hands-on training
• Full-chain industry cooperation — It has established strategic partnerships with leading enterprises including Weicai Education and built a closed-loop collaborative system with over 30 cooperative enterprises, achieving full-chain integration covering talent cultivation, practical training and graduate employment

II. Professional Value and Advantages
1. The Secretary Position: Information Hub and Decision Support
The secretary role in any organization is not merely an administrative support position, but a core node for information aggregation, decision support and resource coordination. Secretaries enjoy the most comprehensive access to organizational information, best interpret leadership’s decision-making intentions, and excel at coordinating diverse internal and external resources. Rather than cultivating ordinary office clerks, the program nurtures professional talents who serve as organizational information hubs, leadership assistants and management reserves.
2. In the AI Era, Secretarial Studies Is Being Reconstructed, Not Replaced
The advancement of artificial intelligence further elevates the value of modern secretarial work. The core competitiveness of contemporary secretaries no longer lies in basic operational efficiency, but in the capability to leverage AI tools for overall organizational coordination. While AI is capable of automated content generation, it cannot comprehend political sensitivity, standardized social etiquette, or sophisticated crisis public relations. The holistic thinking and decision-support competencies cultivated in this program represent irreplaceable human intelligence that cannot be replicated by AI technologies.
3. Proximity to Decision-Making: Unique Learning and Growth Advantages
During internships and practical training, students of Secretarial Studies gain unique proximity-based learning opportunities, enabling them to closely observe institutional decision-making mechanisms, crisis management strategies and resource allocation logic. By continuously engaging with senior management concepts and handling core organizational information, students evolve from task executors to strategic planners and from operational implementers to management participants. In this regard, Secretarial Studies provides a clear and systematic career development path from grassroots operational roles to middle and senior management positions.
III. Training Characteristics
Feature 1: Digital-Intelligent Secretarial Studies — Pioneering Program Transformation Nationwide
In 2026, the Secretarial Studies program took the lead nationwide in launching a transformative upgrade toward digital-intelligent secretarial education. Adopting a “digital-intelligence throughout” curriculum design, the program equips students with solid traditional secretarial expertise while empowering them with cutting-edge competencies, including AI office application, intelligent collaborative management and data analysis.
Feature 2: Precise Training Framework of “One Body, Two Wings, Three Tiers, Four Dimensions”
• One Body: Centered on the interdisciplinary integration of Secretarial Studies, Management and Chinese Language and Literature, the program consolidates students’ core professional competencies and theoretical foundations to support their postgraduate entrance examination and civil service career development.
• Two Wings: Specialized elective modules in Corporate Secretarial Studies and Government Secretarial Studies deliver targeted training pathways, preparing graduates for excellent career performance in both corporate positions and public service roles.
• Three Tiers: A progressive curriculum framework of “Foundation Building + Core Specialization + Interdisciplinary Integration” enables students to steadily consolidate basic knowledge and broaden their professional horizons in a phased manner.
• Four Dimensions: The curriculum is systematically designed across four dimensions: knowledge, ability, quality and technology, fostering well-rounded compound talents. Exclusive preparatory courses for postgraduate and civil service examinations provide targeted academic and career guidance for further development.
Feature 3: Three Core Position Groups — Precise Alignment with Career Market Demands
Rooted in Guangdong Province and serving the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, the program targets talent demands from government agencies, enterprises and legal service institutions. It focuses on two core career clusters — Corporate Secretarial Studies and Government Secretarial Studies — to cultivate high-quality interdisciplinary talents with solid theoretical foundations, proficient digital-intelligent skills and strong complex problem-solving capabilities.

IV. Curriculum System
The curriculum system adheres to the training framework of “One Body, Two Wings, Three Tiers, Four Dimensions + Digital-Intelligence Gold Line”. Core courses include Introduction to Secretarial Studies, Secretarial Practice, Official Document Writing, Applied Writing, History of Chinese Secretarial Studies, Public Relations, Intelligent Office Technology, Secretarial Psychology, Secretarial Etiquette, Speech and Eloquence, Leadership Science, Archives Management, and Business Negotiation. Specialized directional modules precisely align with the two major development tracks of Corporate Secretarial Studies and Government Secretarial Studies, allowing students to select the most suitable growth path based on their personal career planning.
Notably, the program offers dedicated preparatory courses for postgraduate entrance examinations and civil service examinations, providing targeted professional guidance for students pursuing further academic studies or public sector careers.
V. Faculty Strength
The program features a high-caliber, well-structured faculty team with outstanding professional titles and academic qualifications:
The program has 11 full-time faculty members, including 6 teachers with senior professional titles, accounting for more than half of the total faculty with extensive teaching experience. A total of 7 faculty members hold doctoral degrees, covering multiple disciplines such as literature, management, law and education. The team features diverse academic backgrounds and strong disciplinary complementarity.
There are 6 dual-qualified teachers who excel in both theoretical teaching and practical student guidance. Most faculty members possess rich industry work experience and professional practical experience, enabling them to integrate the latest industry developments and practical cases into daily teaching.
Over the past three years, the faculty has undertaken multiple provincial and ministerial-level research projects, published numerous high-quality academic papers, and been awarded the First Prize of Guangdong Provincial Teaching Achievement Award.
