The School of Humanities was established in 2019, succeeding the Department of Humanities, which was founded in 2013. It currently offers six programs: Applied Psychology, Advertising, Secretarial Studies, Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language, Elementary Education, and Internet and New Media, with a student body of nearly 2,500. The school has a faculty and staff of 105, including 89 full-time instructors. Among them, 27 hold senior professional titles, 1 serves as a doctoral advisor, and 6 as master’s advisors. Fifteen faculty members hold doctoral degrees, and 15 are currently pursuing their doctorates. There are 10 adjunct professors, 7 of whom hold doctoral degrees. Additionally, there are 6 specially appointed experts on the school-enterprise cooperation platform, including 4 senior engineers. In recent years, faculty members have led and completed over 40 projects at the national, ministerial, provincial, and municipal levels. They have published more than 300 academic and pedagogical research papers, including over 70 in authoritative and core journals, and have authored or edited more than 30 monographs and textbooks.

The School of Humanities currently operates 16 training centers, including the Psychological Experiment and Training Center, the Advertising and Multimedia Training Lab, the Secretarial Training Lab, the International Chinese Language Teaching Training Lab, the Primary Education Training Lab, and the Converged Media Practice Training Center. With 145 off-campus internship and training bases, the school effectively meets the practical training needs of its students. The School places great emphasis on cultivating students’ moral character, cultural literacy, and professional competence. While prioritizing professional knowledge, it also strengthens practical skills development, ensuring graduates emerge as well-rounded professionals with high moral standards, extensive knowledge, strong capabilities, and high social demand. The School rigorously promotes academic integrity and provides dedicated guidance for graduate school entrance exams. In 2022, 2023, 2024, and 2025, the number of students admitted to graduate programs was 26, 32, 38, and 46, respectively, accounting for 5.1%, 5.2%, 6.4%, and 9% of the total number of graduates; from the 2021 to 2025 academic years, students from the School of Humanities won over 140 awards in various national and Guangdong provincial academic competitions, including 15 national-level awards. Notably, the “Juxing” team from the Secretarial Studies program won a silver medal at the 2025 China International College Students Innovation Competition National Finals, marking a historic breakthrough for Guangdong Pei Zheng College in this competition. Over the past three years, the overall employment rate across all majors in the School of Humanities has exceeded 96%. Not only are employment rates high, but the quality of employment has also improved year by year, with graduates consistently receiving high praise from employers.
