School of Law

About Us

Established in 1999, the School of Law at Guangdong Pei Zheng College was among the first schools at the institution to offer undergraduate programs. Today it stands as a dynamic, application-oriented law school dedicated to nurturing high-quality legal and public-management professionals for the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and beyond. The School currently offers three undergraduate programs: Law, Administrative Management, and Labor and Social Security, with a total enrollment of approximately 1,700 students.Guided by the principle of "Upholding Law, Nurturing Virtue," the School integrates rigorous legal theory with hands-on skills training, AI-enhanced pedagogy, and deep industry-education collaboration. Industry-Integrated Education

We pride ourselves on deep industry-education integration, consistently high graduate employment rates, and a wide network of practice partners. Our programs align closely with the Greater Bay Area's demand for application-ready legal and public-management professionals. We focus on cultivating "four-in-one" talent: unwavering rule-of-law conviction, solid legal theory, robust practical competence, and readiness for grassroots legal practice.

AI-Empowered Arbitration Courtroom: In December 2025, the School co-established the Guangzhou Huadu District Labor and Personnel Dispute Arbitration Commission's Pei Zheng College Circuit Tribunal — the first standardized arbitration venue on a university campus in the region. Students may observe real labor dispute hearings, assist in arbitration proceedings, and practice case preparation through an AI-powered arbitration assistance system jointly developed with the alumni-founded company Guangzhou Zhuojian Information Technology Co., Ltd. This initiative exemplifies the School's "Technology + Rule of Law + Education" collaboration model.

Legal Aid Centre: In November 2024, the "Pei Zheng Legal Aid Centre — Higher Education Volunteer Legal Station" officially opened, providing free legal services to faculty, students, and surrounding communities while offering students structured pro bono legal practice opportunities.

Off-Campus Practice Bases: We maintain 31 off-campus internship and practice bases, including the Huadu District People's Procuratorate, Huadu District People's Court, Chini Town Judicial Office, Guangdong Nanfang Furuid Law Firm, Guangdong Yihang Law Firm, Guangdong Bosu Law Firm, Huizhou Daya Bay Economic and Technological Development Zone Archives Bureau, and Guangzhou Huadu District Anti-Drug Commission Office, among others.

Career Outcomes: Our average graduate employment rate has consistently approached 99%. More than 50 graduates have been admitted to postgraduate programs over recent years, and more than 500 graduates have passed the National Unified Legal Profession Qualification Examination, supplying the region with a steady stream of front-line legal and public-management professionals.

AI-Enhanced Legal Education

The School of Law is a pioneer in integrating artificial intelligence across teaching, research, and practice. Our AI-enhanced education strategy operates along four tracks:

AI as a Teaching Tool: Faculty members incorporate AI-assisted legal research platforms, intelligent writing tools, and generative AI into course design, enabling students to engage with cutting-edge legal informatics from the first year. The Administrative Management Department's AI-empowered teaching salon and the academic salon titled "AI Empowering the Construction of the Civil Law Civics Course" exemplify this commitment to faculty-led pedagogical innovation.

AI as a Research Object: The School actively develops curricula examining the legal and ethical dimensions of AI systems, covering AI liability frameworks, data governance, algorithmic accountability, generative AI regulation, and human-AI intersubjectivity. Faculty research on these themes positions the School at the forefront of AI law scholarship in China.

AI in Moot Court and Simulation Training: Our moot court and simulated arbitration facilities incorporate AI-assisted case analysis and argument preparation tools, allowing students to rehearse realistic litigation and arbitration environments enhanced by intelligent legal support systems.

AI in Assessment: We apply intelligent evaluation frameworks that provide data-driven feedback on legal argumentation, case analysis, and document drafting, improving both the precision and efficiency of academic assessment across all three programs.
